Hospitality Interior Design in Sydney

Hospitality design is one of the most demanding disciplines in the interior industry. Guests form an impression in seconds. The space has to perform across hundreds of interactions a day. And unlike a private home, there is no second chance to adjust once the doors open.

Kaiko Design Interiors brings a perspective to hospitality work that most studios can't — direct, firsthand experience designing luxury hotel projects at an international level. Before founding the studio, Nic Kaiko spent years working on high-end hotel and hospitality interiors across Australia and internationally, where the standard of detail, the rigour of documentation and the expectation of the guest experience are categorically different from most residential or retail work.

That background informs every hospitality project the studio takes on. The spatial planning. The material durability considerations. The way circulation affects atmosphere. The relationship between lighting and how a space feels at different times of day. These are not things you learn from residential work alone.

As hotel interior designers, we have worked across the full spectrum of the guest experience: guest rooms, lobbies, dining spaces and the back-of-house logic that keeps them all functioning. That experience is rare among Sydney studios of our size, and it is the reason hotel and hospitality operators come to us for projects where the design has to earn its keep every single night.

We design hospitality and commercial interiors across Sydney and New South Wales — from boutique hotels and restaurants to studios, salons and consulting spaces. Each project begins with a thorough understanding of the brand, the audience and the operational reality of the business.

Considering a hospitality or commercial project?

The brief, the brand and the budget all shape what's possible. The first step is a conversation about your project — what you're building, who it's for and what you want people to feel when they walk in.
