Earlwood Development

Kaiko Design Interiors were engaged by a young professional couple to design a new family home in Earlwood, Sydney, with a strong focus on spatial flow, materiality and expressive form. The brief called for an interior that felt bold and distinctive, particularly within the walk in robe, which the clients envisioned as reminiscent of a luxury retail boutique.

Curvilinear forms, rich timber finishes and layered materials define the design concept, alongside Kaiko Design Interiors’ signature use of saturated colour, especially within the bathroom spaces. The result is an interior language that feels both refined and expressive while remaining highly functional for everyday family life.

As the project moves toward construction, the narrow site presented unique spatial challenges. The design carefully optimises layout and circulation to maximise light, functionality and visual impact within the footprint.

Balancing timeless detailing with contemporary design, the interior has been tailored to reflect the clients’ lifestyle while creating a home that feels welcoming, distinctive and enduring. Nic’s commitment to experiential design ensures that the spaces will not only look beautiful but also enhance the way the family lives within them each day.

We had a pretty specific brief for Nic, we wanted it to have WOW factor but it needed to come in on budget. We couldn’t be happier with the result. (We) can’t wait to see it come to life now
