Cremorne Point Kitchen
Located in Cremorne Point, Sydney, this early Art Deco two bedroom apartment originally consisted of a series of small, enclosed rooms. Prior to our engagement, the kitchen had been squeezed into a cupboard like space, with an awkward arrangement of services that made everyday use difficult.
By opening the kitchen to the living and dining areas, we were able to create a more generous and functional layout. This allowed for full sized appliances and significantly improved storage to better support the needs of the growing family who call the apartment home.
A custom curved tiled rangehood subtly references the building’s Art Deco heritage, reinterpreted in a contemporary way. The restrained monochromatic palette allows the striking quartzite benchtops to become the focal point of the kitchen, bringing texture and quiet drama to the space.
The result is a compact apartment kitchen that balances heritage character, functionality and refined materiality.
